Freud's theories may be absurd or stupid or whatsoever. But it still remains that he DID manage to cure a good number of people from their psy disorders. And his theories worked as a stepping stone for the establishment of a new science.
And the bigger point is - today's psychiatrists are groping in as much darkness as Freud did and there hasnt been much of 'real' change or progress.
I have now resigned our own good old 'eastern pholosophies' :)
